In line with SHADEF’s significant stride towards environmental advocacy, Safe Space Development Foundation (SHADEF) had the privilege of meeting with the Honorable Commissioner for Environment and Mineral Resources, Chief Uno Etim Uno, during a courtesy call. This meeting served as a pivotal moment for SHADEF, with discussions centered around climate change sensitization and collaborative efforts for a healthier ecosystem.

The meeting brought together a formidable 9-member delegation from SHADEF, led by the organization’s Executive Director, Evelyn Eyo. The Commissioner’s side was well-represented by 6 esteemed directors from various ministries, including Mrs. Ime Emem Umoh (Director of Climate Change and Awareness), Mrs. Maria Akpan (Director of Pollution and Waste Management), Mr. Ita Johnson (Director of Forestry and Conservation), Mrs. Emem Ibokette (Director of Mineral Resources), Mr. Okon Udoh (Director of Flood and Erosion Control), and Mr. Anietie (Director of Petroleum Resources).
