Inyene-Christ David, the Organization’s Media Communication lead, took the opportunity to educate the audience on the significance of house planting. Beyond the act of cultivating flowers or plants within living spaces, house planting signifies a commitment to living in harmony with nature. In the local dialect, it is referred to as “eti uwem,” translating to good life. David emphasized the role of house planting in promoting wellness and the crucial coexistence between humanity and the Earth’s ecosystem.
Types of Flowers and Their Benefits:
Ntiima Umoh, during the session, shed light on the specific types of flowers chosen for house planting. Notably, the White Aster flower and the Sun Coleus flowers were highlighted for their ability to improve air quality and enhance the aesthetic appeal of any environment. These flowers, known for their resilience and beauty, can be found along Ibb Avenue or Nsikak Eduok in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for purchase, making them accessible for individuals and organizations alike.
