At Safe Space Development Foundation (SHADEF), we believe that everyone deserves access to a clean and safe environment. As part of our mission, we are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking initiative being implemented through the Young Environmentalists (YEs) Club at Independence High School, Essien Udim: the construction of an eco-friendly latrine crafted from recycled plastic materials.

This project represents a transformative approach to environmental conservation and waste management. By utilizing innovative recycling techniques, we are repurposing plastic waste into a durable and sustainable structure. Our goal is to collect and repurpose 5,000 plastic bottles and sachet water packets from the local community. This effort not only creates a cleaner and healthier environment but also raises environmental awareness among young people. By involving students in this project, we aim to:
