Time: 10:00 a.m
Location: Uyo, Nigeria
This isn’t just another school event. It’s a movement. A platform. A spark. And it’s igniting the fire of environmental change in the hearts of the next generation.
What to Expect This Year:
This year, we’re going bigger, deeper, and bolder! Here’s what’s in store:
Environmental Panel Talks
Hear from young changemakers, sustainability professionals, and climate educators who are breaking new ground in waste management, clean energy, and plastic pollution.
Student Presentations & Innovations
Brilliant students will showcase eco-projects they’ve built—from recycling systems to school gardens and upcycled art—proving that young minds are full of real, workable solutions.
Interactive Breakout Sessions
From environmental debate corners to action planning circles, these sessions are designed to help students think critically, connect ideas, and build strong peer alliances.
Eco-Creative Exhibitions
Art meets activism! Witness stunning pieces made from plastic, fabric waste, and recycled paper—all created by student artists.
Open Mic & Green Pledges
A chance for every voice to be heard! Students will be invited to speak their truth about climate anxiety, hope, and what they’re committed to doing next.
Why It Matters:
The climate crisis is real. The environmental threats are urgent. But the future? It’s still full of hope—because our youth are not waiting. They’re taking action now.
At SHADEF, we believe that change begins with education, and that young people must be equipped, encouraged, and empowered to lead. The Assembly gives them that platform and a sense of purpose that extends beyond the classroom.
Last year’s attendees left feeling transformed. Some started recycling clubs, others initiated school clean-ups, and many became vocal advocates for sustainability in their homes and communities.
